Destination Life What is life really. It is more than breath in our bodies.
There are many people who are physically or medically alive who are not living in the fullness of life as the creator of life intended it.
Think of the people around you in your world. Is their life enriched or hampered.
Jesus came to bring life in all it’s fullness. But what is this meant to look like.
He is the essence of life. He lived his life unchained by sickness, dysfunction, and lack of purpose.
He lived His life aware from a young age of His purpose on this planet. His whole life was set on course for that purpose. The decisions He made as a human aligned with that purpose. There was not one solitary action on His part that took Him on a detour from His purpose.
This had a huge impact on the fullness of life He enjoyed. Because He never had to recover from mistakes, sickness, suffer from insecurities, rebuilt His self-esteem, or be concerned if He was truly loved. All this He knew, and therefore simply moved forward into His destiny – empowered with the fullness of life.
I believe it is our God given right to walk into this same fullness of life.
How do we do this. As we are not God like Jesus Christ. We are frail human beings. But yet Jesus said – “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” John 10:10b (The Message) How can we have this life that is better than we could even dream of? Some of us are living a nightmare, how can we experience this God-dream life?
It starts with trusting our creator with our life. One thing I have learned through my experience with the Eating Disorder, was that when I insisted on managing my own problem myself and would not trust anyone including God to help me I almost perished.
One of the simplest and yet at times hardest of all things for some people to do, is to learn to trust our creator with our life. In that place of complete trust, there can be turmoil all around, but peace that takes us by the hand through it.
I have found since my miraculous recovery, that God is doing a much better job at managing my life, that I was doing during the ED. Yes it does take courage to trust - but you (like me) may have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
